Those of you who dislike Mr. Obama…..?

How would you solve our foreign diplomacy problems? Bomb all of our enemies? Do we start nuking Korea, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Palestine China. Would that solve it? Then what do we do with all those dying people?

How would you solve our financial problems? Let every company now fail, and all the banks fail? GM fail, all housing in foreclosure, and all people on the streets?

How would you solve our health care problems? (One in four bankruptcies is now caused by inability to pay medical costs). Would you just turn away anyone and everyone who is dying if they cannot pay? If they are in a car crash, do we let them die in the wreckage if they cannot show a medical insurance card?

I find lots of you on here are big to criticize, but I find no real alternative solutions.

Take one of these and discuss it.

  2. Good Guy:

Let us have the government take ownership of everything.

Let the Government supply your housing, tell you where you will live, what your job will be, what and how much you can eat, what medical treatment you will get – and when, and decide how much fuel you will get to stay warm this winter.

"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have … The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases."
    -Thomas Jefferson

    There is an old saying

"Hold your friends closely. Hold your enemies even closer."

So, to answer the first, to show sincere willingness to find a common ground with the PEOPLE of those countries can only be a good thing.

To keep as many people working in our country as possible has got to be a good thing

And I would gladly have the health care that Ted Kennedy gets given to him for free, paid for by my taxes.

It won’t matter what any one has to say in response. Your mind is clearly made up and you are ready to demonize, ridicule or out right dismiss any that are put forth. Like Obama said early on, " I won". Leaves no opening for discussion.

How do I deal with the dying people in other countries? Let them die! Or let the leaders of their country take care of them.

How do I deal with the financial crisis?
Let the irresponsible companies fail, as well as the irresponsible people who have been overspending and living off credit cards for the last few decades. Tough.

How do I deal with health care?
    Also tough.

The world needs less stupid people anyway.

  6. TheOnlyBeldin:

Foreign diplomacy problems – Get out of Iraq AND Afghanistan. Cut off all forms of aid to North Korea and tell them that any attack on Japan or South Korea is an attack on us.

Financial problems – Reduce tax rates and simplify the tax code so that people have more money of their own to spend. Stop printing money like it’s going out of style. If companies fail, so be it. The government has no more business bailing out GM than it didn’t bail out Circuit City or any number of other companies that went under. As for mortgages, stop forcing banks through Fannie and Freddie to give out loans to people who can never pay them back.

Health care – Get the government out of the health care business. Reduce administrative costs by streamlining insurance. Allow people to purchase their own insurance with tax-free money, allowing them to shop across state lines. Institute tort reform to reduce frivolous lawsuits and reduce malpractice insurance costs. (Your idea of refusing anyone who is dying is bogus, as emergency rooms cannot turn away patients in critical need based on ability to pay.)

one thing i wouldnt do is WASTE ALL OF OUR MONEY!!!

obama has us 50 years in a DEEP DEBT

  8. Thomas D:

I will take on health care for you. I estimate there are about 140 million people in this country who would want government sponsored health care. This is a greater amount than the population of many countries with government health care. What you can do is let anyone opt into the plan who would like to, and base there premiums on a sliding scale by how much money the plan needs in total against how much income the person or family makes. This way those who make more pay more.

We would not have to pay any extra taxes because the plan would pay for itself, those who like their present health care could keep it, and we would find out just how altruistic the people who want government health care really are, are they willing to spend more out of their own pocket to insure the uninsured?

I can find no problem with this plan.

  9. Ponzi:

There are abundant solutions to the issues that you have cited without transforming this country into a Neo-Marxist government.

  10. DAR:

    1. Foreign policy: nonintervention. Bring our folks home from the middle east (and most other places) and let other countries work out their own destiny. We can’t afford this, anyhow.

    2. Yes, let the failing fail, preferably BEFORE stealing our money to give to them only to watch them fail in any event.

    3. Health care is not within the federal government’s jurisdiction under the Constitution for good reason. Individuals are best represented at the most local level possible, reflecting their diverse interests and preferences, where they can actually make an impact. The more centralized a government the less the individual can impact it, and the more special interests feed off the trough of our money. This is nowhere more apparent than in the military, finance and health services sector, the three you happen to mention.

  11. Dina W:

To begin with NOBODY has ever suggested nuking anyone.
Since when do we have problems with Egypt? That is news to me.

The financial problems were caused by groups like Acorn demanding housing loans for people that could not afford them…. Then they were sold as commodities, that went bad. Everyone had some of those bad commodities in their 401ks, because they were thought of as safe.

I have an idea, do not lend money to people that cannot afford to pay it back. Including the US government that has us so far in debt China practically owns America now.

As for health-care, Although I am not a fan of regulation, something needs to be done. I think hearings should be held on the sky rocketing price of health care, then a private sector solution should be found.

Government involvement in education, has only lowered standards, Social Security is almost broke, and the government has only made energy more expensive.

Anything the Government runs becomes complete bureaucratic FUBAR. If you think otherwise perhaps you should ask yourself why the US government is 11 trillion in debt.

  12. *~*Your Dream Come True*~*:

If we reform health care, it will take months to get anything done. The doctors won’t be making any money off of it, so why would they be in a hurry to get you taken care of? Letting the government control which tests and which medicines you can or cannot have is absolutely ridiculous. Where will the Canadians go to the doctor?

The financial problems isn’t OUR fault. They shouldn’t have had private jets, big ass bonuses that were a lot more than any normal working man or woman would make in a lifetime, and all of the other nonsense and they wouldn’t be in as bad a shape as they are now. Letting people buy houses they couldn’t afford wasn’t our fault. You can thank Bill Clinton for that. The companies that are failing are of their own doing. If we didn’t get them into those messes, why should we clean them up?

  13. Andy:

We dont turn dying people away in America! If someone was in a wreck without insurance they would still get medical treatment in America! we do need to work to make health care more affordable for the average American. I am just not sure nationalizing health care is the answer. To be honest I dont know how to fix health care but I dont think raising taxes in a recession to pay for an expensive health care system which doesnt guarantee health care services will get better is worth the gamble in a recession.

As far as all the companies the problem is how do you pick which company deserves saving? I say let them fail it will work itself out yes its going to be painful but hey WE NEED TO BE MORE RESPONSIBLE AS A WHOLE in America.

As far as dealing with our adversaries I have no major issues with President Obama’s handling so far. My only complaint is there is no need to apoligize for America we have made our mistakes but we have learned from them so quit talking about torture which ultimately only hurts our troops. He has apoligized for it great QUIT talking about it

Ya, conservatives are all evil people who want the poor to die. I’m guessing you’re kind of young and a bit lacking in knowledge. I like your passion, but you need to become more informed.

My suggestion to you is that you get a 1 year subscription to National Review and educate yourself on conservatism, then come back. You could purchase the 5/29/09 issue which is a special health care issue. Maybe you could even read it for free at a library.

You would also do well to visit http://www.heritage.org to educate yourself on how conservatives would address a host of issues.

Your questions on our financial problems really illustrate your lack of understanding. Do you really think that is the conservative position? to let all companies and mortgages fail so everyone is on the street? I hope you’re just using extreme hyperbole and don’t really believe that.

You use the word fail, but that doesn’t really capture bankruptcy. There are two kinds of bankruptcy, a liquidation bankruptcy and a restructuring bankruptcy. No one wants GM to liquidate, but they do need to restructure. As conservatives, our main objections are that the Federal govt. shouldn’t be taking 70% ownership of GM as part of the restructuring. We have no faith in govt. running a car company. You can see how they’ve done running Amtrak, a train company. The govt. was only supposed to be running Amtrak for 3 years.

We also object to the government illegally breaking the terms of secured creditors of GM and Chrysler, and awarding part ownership to the UAW. If debt contracts have no meaning in this country, then the entire economic system is in peril.

The govt. dating back to Jimmy Carter has bullied lenders, and used Fannie and Freddie to expand home ownership to those who frankly shouldn’t own homes. This was done by Rs and Ds, so it is a bipartisan problem, that isn’t going away. This country and it’s citizens are way over leveraged, and yes, there is going to be some pain, but we need to feel that pain now, or it’s just going to be worse down the road.

I could write more, but my hands are getting tired.

    Good questions…

Well I can’t say I do not like Obama… He was not my first choice.. Nor my last.
    My first was Ron Paul

However to answer your question… at least one of them about the economy and the budget.

My criticism is that how are we going to pay for all of this money? We print it and spend it… then what.. When you print more money.. it means the current money you have is worth less and less the more you print.

So our kids and our grandchildren will suffer far worse than we will.
If you let everything collapse that would be catastrophic, but would be short lived.
In 9 months to 2 years it would be all over new companies would form out of the ashes, and bad habits would be expunged from the system.
Poor performance wouldnt be rewarded and playing it safe would have worked out for the best.

I think infusing the system with this type of False Revenue creates another FAKE market. The recovery will only be an illusion a band aid over a broken arm of sorts.
That will become very apparent when it cost 20 dollars for milk and 18 dollars for gas in the near future.

If your money is worth less then you need more of it. However the common people are loosing jobs and their wages are stagnant. Therefore the money the have is worth less and their ability to gain more is reduced. Forceing the seperation of classes to the poles of Have and HAve nots.
The middle class will loose its ground.. and the wealthy will take over.

One step closer to a police state.

Watch ZEITGEIST the movie… it is somewhat related to this topic. Especially the part about the Federal Reserve.

ANYONE WHO AGREES WITH ME, or DISAGREES.. PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE.

    GOOD LUCK

"How would you solve our foreign diplomacy problems? Bomb all of our enemies?"

Let me just stop you right there. Are you not aware that ur "anti-war" hero, Mr. Obama, has been bombing civilians since his first week in office?

He is EXPANDING the interventionist wars in the middle east. He LIED to you.

You are now supporting the very same globalist CFR foreign policy you probably opposed under the Bush regime (who Obama is now protecting from investigation–which doesn’t surprise me at all because they work for the same people).

As for our financial problems, that’s easy. STOP LETTING PRIVATE BANKERS RUN OUR MONETARY POLICY.

Stop letting the Federal Reserve counterfeit US Treasury notes, bills and bonds. The rest of the world is about to drop the dollar. THEY can see through the Fed’s scams. Why can’t we?

Obama literally appointed several of the very people who engineered the crisis (i.e. NY Fed Boss and Bilderberg attendee Tim Geithner) as his economic advisors. 90+% of his cabinet members are CFR members and/or Bilderberg attendees. It is CLEAR who Mr. Obama is working for. He and his globalist pals have NO INTENTION of fixing the economy. On the contrary, they need the crisis. "Never let a good crisis go to waste" -Rahm Emanuel

Obviously Obama can’t talk about the REAL cause of the financial collapse because many of his close associates are up to their necks in it. He can’t talk about the revolving door between Washington and Wall St. because his administration is even more rife with collusion and conflict of interest than Bush’s was.

And he can never talk about the Federal Reserve because he knows how close we are to exposing that crime syndicate for what it truly is, and this terrifies the globalists because without the Fed they could never control the USA the way they do.

So let’s Audit the FED!!! Let’s get some indictments and actually see some of these people arrested!!!

HR 1207. CFR members and banker pawns within both parties will fight this legislation tooth and nail, but with 190 sponsors in the house, this thing still has a fighting chance.

As for healthcare, I agree that the current system is corrupt to the CORE, but socializing it can only make it worse.

How about we stop the collusion between the pharmaceutical corporations and the government, instead of fostering FURTHER collusion and corporatism by socializing medicine?
