But I was diagnosed with a heart condition when I was 20, and didn’t have health insurance. I was hospitalized a lot, and raked up some health bills. And yea, I will admit….after my credit was already tarnished and I knew I would have to file bankruptcy, I started to not care anymore. I have about 30 thousand dollars in bad credit…and I dont know where to start. Is bankruptcy the only option I have? My husband is army and I am a stay at home mom…although I will start working again once he deploys. Anybody have any advice for me…or any numbers I can call?

My insurance was canceled because they didn’t get the payment on time. I hit one SUV and got hit by a diesel truck. I had my drivers license taken away because of that. I was supposed to get my license back a year later when it was suspended again. This time there was a judgment for me to pay ,000 for damages to the SUV that i hit. I didn’t get a letter saying i need to appear in court, and by the time i got the letter saying i need to pay the fine, it was too late to repeal it. I can not get my license back until i pay that fine. Will I be able to file bankruptcy to write it off and get my license reinstated or do i have to pay the ,000?

The other driver admitted fault, I had physical therapy and back injections and still have pain plus trouble with regular bowel movements (I suffered two badly herniated discs, an annular fissure, and sprained neck). My lawyer had me come in to his office, he said to make a statement, but when I got there, he told me my case was being investigated for fraud. Since then, the other driver’s insurance company has only offered me 10k to settle the case and my medical bills are over 120k. First, how did my lawyer mess up what should have been an easily winnable case? Second, I’ve had to sign away 40% of my settlement to the lawyer that messed up my case, plus 50% of my settlement to the new lawyer I hired, so I don’t know if I will have enough to pay my medical bills, should I prepare to file bankruptcy?

My house is now foreclosed. The bank took possession on October 2006. Countrywide continues to send me statement on the HELOC. Does this means that I still have to pay for the HELOC?? I didn’t even take any money from it. It was used to pay for the rest of my original loan when I refinanced. Can I file bankruptcy particulary chapter 7 for the HELOC??
NO! My mother is not on the mortgage. She helped me with it because I bought it for her… she couldn’t qualify.

On the day my insurance kicked in I had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. I gave the hospital all the information I had, when I got the bill (upward of ten thousand dollars) I contacted them yet again and gave them the information. This went on for years. I have disputed these charges over and over and yet I can’t get any relief. That is the largest debt I have. I also have a judgment against me for 00 – the woman who has this judgment against me is not really open to working with me to say the least. Should I send her payments regardless and try to dispute this hospital bill -still- or should I file a Chapter 7? Any advice is appreciated.
