I was hit by a pick-up truck 2 years ago when I was 15,the insurance is ready to settle but the amount isn’t enough to cover the first days medical bill and the attorney says I can sue the person himself but he will probably just file bankruptcy. If I sue him and he does file will I still get my money and how much could I get because I am still having problems from it that the doctors say I will always have
It was his fault,it even states it in the police report. I was crossing the street and he ran the red light. He admitted it was his fault but is now saying it is my fault because I was to short to see over the top of his hood.

First, we used Massachusetts as a lab rat for health care reform. Look how that turned out: the program went bankrupt and many doctors fled the state. We also had many warnings from Europe and Canada. Canada implemented the same kind of "single-payer system" and look where that got them, the same situation Massachusetts is in. Even though we were warned, America voted for President Obama whose political agenda revolved around this topic and now our government has taken several more steps in invading medicine.

I just don’t understand any of this. My father is a doctor and I have seen what this health care system is like from his time in the military. For instance, the doctors in the military get paid the same amount no matter how many extra hours worked or how many surgeries were performed in that time, so the doctors and surgeons lose the incentive to work harder and in fact, seem to work less. I have also worked at an Ophthalmologist clinic and Optic shop for two years and I have been to an Ophthalmologist convention and saw proof of what was to come.

the 23rd their putting my house on the court steps all because Bank of Un-American tricked me when they said they were modifying my home and I have a disabled son that has been abused in 8 different nursing homes, the state has done nothing to help and now me and my disabled son will have to probably file bankruptcy, my son was hit by a vehicle while changing a tire on the freeway here in kansas city mo, he was hit so hard it knocked his leg completely behind him and split his head open in several places, in the nursing holes, he got bed sores many times 150pneumonia’s, broke his arm ,cut the nerves in his arms now he cant lift them ever again, 2 cases ecol bacteria, laid with scabies for almost 2 years, stuck catheterr so far up my son that it toreurethraa in 4 places, yet Governor Jay Nixon has ignored my pleas, my son has had no doctor in over 21/2 yrs because no one will come to the house, Jim Jr averaged once a month while in the nursing holes, in the hospital for urinary tract infections,pneumonia’ss, had to cut off half his heal from letting him lay without rotating him. so I had enough I bring him home, and the state threatens me and says if he dies in my care they will sue me, but it’s okay for the state to allow abuse in the nursing holes and cover it all up like it never happened, the governor has it down pat, your loved ones life is only worth 250,000.00 even if they abuse mame kill your loved one the max is 0,000.00. lawyers won’t take the case because the no money by the time you dodepositionss, with doctors at 90.00 an hour and witness, then split whats left with client, it’s not worth it. So my son gets abused in more ways then any one person should ever have to go through, so I bring him home only to find the state offers my son no help so I can work this stat has caused me to go over 200,000.00 in debt in just the 2 1/2 years since bring Jim home, Doesn’t anybody care is this what this country has stooped to? I’ve also sacrificed the last 11 yrs of my life to take care of my son with absolutely no help from the state, no nurses, no doctors, doctors that write prescriptions like potassium, and flourisimide, acetylisistine, and more without ever seeing the patient, this state allows it. What would you do if this happened to you 17 year old son or daughter, open can at the site yet the police don’t even check the ford motor companyemployeee for alcohol in is system nor did they even write him a ticket for hitting my son while he was changing his tire, you tell me what do you think of a Governor who ignores your pleas, or a police dept that doesn’t even do it’s job or all the multiple nursing holes the abuse and kill your loved ones regularly, maybe you just put your old father or mother in those places so you don’t have to bother with it, let it be on yourconsciouss, I’m putting a video about real encounters of what else this cover up state has done if anybody has any backbone or are just curious, respond, to the rest who don’t care, it will effect you or a loved one someday, there’s practically no way around it,

Hi, I’m in a bad situation. I’m uninsured, and I had a severe retinal detachment a week ago. I had to go to emergency room, and then treatment. The hospital is going to bill me with huge amound, probably around 30k they said. And doctors are not even sure if I’ll get my vision back, as I still can’t see after the treatment. I applied for country programs, but they are not covering them because I went into emergency room care before applying for those programs. I do not have a job, and my poor wife works to support me and makes only about 600 dollars a month after tax. I don’t know what to do. I’m a student who has no job, and my wife and I live in my parents house. Therefore, I’m interested in filing bankruptcy. I have no way of paying this amount, and I certainly do not want my poor wife’s paycheck going to the debt. What happens when I file for bankruptcy? Will it affect my wife’s credit? I had perfect credit with excellent history until this happened. If I file for bankruptcy, will I lose all my current in-good-standing credit card with my bank? I don’t owe anything nor do I have any outstanding debt except this medical bill. Is it possible to file for bankruptcy but keep my wife’s credit score out of it? What are the requirements to quality for chapter 7? I heard that medical debt is unsecured, so it can be discharged. I have no job, unable to find job in this economy, I was going to cheap community college when this whole thing happened. What should I do? I need help. Will they put me in jail for not paying this debt?? thank you, kind people. I’m totally screwed.

My life wasn’t so peachy when I was young. My family went from the Leave it Beavers to Tragedy real quick. But to start with In my early childhood; I had a great family life.

Because of an accident, my father lost control his mind we went bankrupt during his many visits in and out of the state hospital.
He had constant hallucinations and an altered state of reality. He did many things "unaware" that shamed himself, and all his family. The doctors tried very hard to help regain control of reality but ultimately he ended up as a permanent mental disability case.

As a kid in school some of the embarrassing things my father did made me a constant target of bully’s. I took no pride in fighting but had to almost everyday just to make the 2 mile walk I made home everyday after school. Just punk kids and their lack of knowledge, trying to make a name for themself. It seemed like the more I beat up defending my self, the more I had to fight. To this day, I never have lost a fight. But I never started any either. So anyways..

My mother lost hope in my dad and was not the better woman. She left him because she said it was just too much to deal with. The varies step-dads that were in and out of her life gave me EVERY reason to HATE someone.

This HATE could have consumed me but my Lord had given me his strength. Strength above the Hate. Strength in Love

Eventually my mom found a man with some stability and money, but by then I was burned out by the previous bad choices.
So, after reaching an age where I could choose to take care of my father….15….I left my mom and
became my fathers father.

He only collected 16k a year from social security so we were very poor. We lived in a very small trailer and I remember how difficult it was to be around kids with "Normal" lives. Some of the parents mis-judged me. And even many of my friends underestimated personality and God given abilities.

These, not being known at that time, by terminology were "Gifts of the Spirit" But none the less God was teaching me even while I was unaware. His presence was always with me.

It might seems that all these troubles could have pulled me away from our LOVING HOLY FATHER, but instead it brought me closer to him. In my trails, he taught me about Love..patience…and service…..and respect. These trails affirmed for me that when you need God the MOST… You don’t have to look very hard, because if you believe what He did for you on the Cross….then he is always inside you. You do not have to rely on your own strength. His is within you. Since my childhood, my living testimony has be used to bring several people to the Lord. Can you think on anything else this story can teach others.

This year has been extraordinarily difficult and I’ve had to use the money that I was setting aside for property taxes which are due in Jan and Feb. They give you till the end of Feb to pay without penalties. Credit cards and title loans aren’t an option, those have already been tapped this year as has the Roth which was depleted anyways because of previous problems years ago. About the best I could hope for would be to borrow against my 403b but again due to serious problems a few years ago (including being told I would be dead within two to five years by Doctors), I never amassed anything significant there and actually nearly lost track of having it. It would only be enough for maybe half of the property taxes. There isn’t any equity in the home that can be drawn on, I’ve only had it for a year and aside from antique computers, I have nothing to sell. There’s a benefits retirement program but because I had a backup job that reactivated the program when I lost my job in April, I can’t touch that money at all unless I quit my job. Also that money may have gone into the State lost funds thing because I lost track of a lot when I was really sick a few years ago. So now with maybe four months max to save up for property taxes, which means it isn’t going to happen, what’s going to happen when I can’t pay the full bill by the end of Feb? Should I file for forebearance from the mortgage company? The Obama MHA would require an escrow for the taxes to be established, if I can’t save up enough for that by the end of Feb, how could I establish an escrow for that amount? Should I let bills go into arrears to save up for the taxes? Should I just declare chapter 13 bankruptcy?
I should probably add that I’ve lost a third of my income. I had a backup job already arranged when I lost my job in April but it was at two thirds the pay with better benefits. My girlfriend also had legal problems that I sorted out for her but that has left me with a budget that doesn’t balance. I’ll make it balance somehow, I have to. But loosing one third of my wages is loosing over k. I’m in a serious negative cash flow situation. I should be able to pick up some contract work, that should bring in up to 20% more cash but that’s not a certainty. Can’t ask family, sister had a stroke and is about to declare bankruptcy if the hotel folds. Probably need a DMP to make budget work.

I have a k car note debt on its way to an attorney for a court hearing in the near future. I haven’t been subpoenaed yet. I have k in medical bills getting the run around from my health insurance and another -k that hasn’t even been filed yet by the doctor but may also be denied.

I can’t afford to have a court garnish my wages a single cent for the car note but can’t file for bankruptcy protection just yet because I’m waiting on the insurance company to either pay or deny. Until then, I won’t get a bill to put on my bankruptcy forms. Also, the other doctors haven’t filed their claims yet. They have up to six months to file a claim and it’s only been 30 days since my surgery.

Bottom line: it would be a waste to file bankruptcy right now over 11k when I have almost 100k coming up in the next few months. What can I do? After I get the subpoena I plan to just file on whatever I have and then hope for the best with the rest. Is that even possible? Are you allowed to file on something that is currently going through litigation?

Are state hospitals the only alternative I have without ins. I have a really bad ankle sprain and I am in an emergency situation. I am the sole money maker in my Family. I support two children a wife and her mother I am a carpenter. 2 1/2 months ago I rolled my ankle. I cant walk yet alone work but I continue to work even if it is with a limp but now I am starting to have pain throughout my whole leg. I am a tough guy and I have always "played through my injuries". I can handle the loss of my home or even to file bankruptcy. The thing that kills me is the look on my families face. I can’t play with the kids, take them on the hikes to the mountains or anything for that mater. I just want to walk again. I just want know of a good bankruptcy lawyer in NJ. My brother through out last year has been dawning in credit card/.medical debt. The medical debt is due to my nephew, who was born not so healthy and had to get many surgeries and so much attention from different doctors at Children s hospital of Philadelphia (CHOPS). As of right now he is not delinquent on any credit cards, but I fear that soon he will. I am just trying to fine options for my brother. What can be his best alternative.
