Just recieved Notice of chapter 7 case closed without discharge as debtor did not file official form 23,?
Debtors certification of completion of intructional course concerning personal Financial management. I filed for bankruptcy in Feb 2009 and court date was in march 6, 2009. l took the online course same day as court case. I still have certificate dated March 6, 09. Just recieved notice Sept. 21, 2009. Notice dated Sept. 17, 2009. If i go to bankruptcy court tomorrow with copy of certificate what is going to happen to me and my case? Will l have to pay any money? Will the case be closed completly? Please help l need answers.

Due to my ex-husband being a co-debtor on some medical bills for our 2 sons, he will be receiving a notice that I am filing bankruptcy. I do not want him to know my business because it’s his fault I’m having to file. He has to receive the notice by law since he is responsible for 1/2 of the medical bills (which he never pays). During the divorce he was ordered to pay on a credit card which my name was listed first. Well he never paid and know I’m being sued for k. I had no other options but to file for bankruptcy. I filed today and he will receive a notice and become privy to my filing for bankrupcty. I know he will call me and give me crap. I don’t want to deal with him. I would just like some good come back to say to him when I get the call!!!!!

do i only include the original debtor in the bankruptcy or do i have to include all the collection agencies the original creditor sold the debt to as a creditor aswell ?

We are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy and want to discharge all unsecured debt, but we are current on home and car and will continue to make those payments. We will have to fill out a B240 reaffirmation agreement on these or just fill out the Chapter 7 Debtor intent form that says we will reaffirm?

and no dealer would take it as a trade in.
If the auto finance place wants to do a writ of execution, can they do this after bankruptcy, and what exactly is involved in doing a bankruptcy yourself ?

Do you just file lawsuits for each debtor and see if they show up or what is the procedure?

The fact that the car did not run the whole time the person had it, and the person put so much $ into it to try to get it running in addition to the monthly payments for the car along with hospital bills has lead someone to want to declare bankruptcy,

I was thinking about this the other day, I used to work in collections and couldnt figure it out. It takes what 7-10 years for bankruptcy to age of your credit, the normal statute of limitations is (in my state) 6 years for credit card debt and 10 years for car notes and such. Why would someone file bankruptcy when it costs so much when they can wait it out? Also if the debtor gets a judgement against them does the creditor always put a body attachment out like they do in small claims personal suits?
