How long can I take to file bankruptcy?

We recently lost our home (foreclosed) recently moved out, we havent been able to pay any debt including CC’s, Personal Loans, Retail Accounts etc. Since My husband and I are currently unemployed but we havent filed bankruptcy either..what can be the consequences or do We still have time to file BK? (Since 2009 is almost over)Does anybody have an idea of the costs to file it?? Thanks for the help..and understanding..Please no unnecessary comments it’s hard to go thru this situation when u have kids to feed.

If I'm NOT late on payments PRIOR to filing bankruptcy, can creditors report me 30 days late if I stop paying?

I currently have no late payments in 10 years with over 45 accounts, but unfortunately I have to file bankruptcy (bk). Even though the bk will heavily impact my credit score, I want to minimize the damage. If I’m 10 days late on a payment and then file bk, can the creditors report me 30 days late once I reach the 30 day point? This is assuming I was only 10 days late when I filed bk with the court. Will filing bk prevent them from being able to report me if I wasn’t 30 days late when I filed? If they do report me in error, do they have a legal obligation to remove the 30 day late?

how much does it normally cost to file bankruptcy?

im getting ready to file for bankruptcy and the firm in going threw says its gonna cost me 1200.00 is that to much ? should i find a cheaper on or is thier a cheaper one someone let me know. thanks
i havent paid for it yet i just wanted to know before i did it .
ive allready done the debt cons and my husband lost his job and we have had this debt for a long time plp are starting to come after us. if we dont do something so the last thing for me to do id bk sorry but some plp just haft to do it and we do

Should you consider filing Bankruptcy if you have an overwhelming amount of debt in credit cards?

If you have debt including car loan, credit cards, and other misc debts more than the amount you make in a year or more is filing Bankruptcy the best option? I am young with a child and have accumulated so much debt making bad decisions and now I have to face the situation sooner or later. There really isnt any other option I can think of besides consolidationg or a debt management plan and if I were to consider a program like that I would be able to afford that. I am young and I figure if I was to file BK and get a fresh new start things will get better for me. but then I will have to face the penalties of filing BK and after that your credit score is ruined and alot of companies try to charge you an arm & leg with rates and everything. Eventually I want to buy a home dont want to have to rely on people for a co-signer everytime I will need credit. I sure can say this is a learning experience. Please respond if you fell you have good advice in this situation.

This young man from countrywide reporting me Sabrina as filing bankruptcy to the credit bureau an as well countrywide have me listed under bankruptcy company. My name is Sabrina and Chadnezzar we have a loan with Countrywide when in fact Chadnezzar File Bankruptcy at the Russell Building in Downtown Atlanta with his Attorney Lee Frison. Jr at 1230 Peachtree st, 19 floor Atlanta,Ga 30309 of Atlanta file bankruptcy for Chadnezzar . Mr. Frison an Mr. Chadnezzar an myself have told Mr.Richard Briggs 1-972-608-6000 /1-972-608-6000 an countrywide BANKRUPTCY DEPARTMENT 1-800-669-5224 to remove me Sabrina from under Bankruptcy records and department because i never file an they are ruining my credit an my name an we even offer to fax the Bk papers which we know they have showing me not in BK at all, I never file this is unfair an deceitful practices. And he needs to be held accountable for what he and Countrywide is doing to my name. He keep telling me as well as those in the bankruptcy to get my bk attorney to call what attorney I told him what attorney, I never file bankruptcy in my life so they need to clear this issue up ASAP. This is like accusing someone of committing a crime when thirty people seen that person never did the crime. Do this give Attorney Mr.Richard Briggs and Countrywide Bankruptcy Department the right to practice deceitful law practice regardless if he and the company are breaking the law and knows it is wrong!!!! WHERE HERE IS DOCUMENT TO VERIFY I NEVER FILE ON CHADNEZZAR AN MR FRISON HIS ATTORNEY CAN VERIFY HE EVEN CALL IN THE PASS AN LET THE REPRESENTATIVES IN THE BANKRUPTCY DEPARTMENT KNOW I NEVER FILE AN ANYTHING WITH MY NAME ON IT NEEDS TO BE REMOVE FROM UNDER THE BANKRUPTCY DEPARTMENT AT COUNTRYWIDE.
