The short version is that I was denied a position at a local retailer and the only reason I could ascertain would be because of a misdemeanor that I was found guilty of when I was seventeen. The misdemeanor was supposed to be expunged upon successful competeion of juveille probation. Who’d have thought it would come back? The only other thing I could imagine it being is a bankrupty filing, but can an employer deny me a job becase filed chapter seven?

We have a joint mortgage and I (husband) filed Bankruptcy last year and was discharged on January 2010. However on my credit it is reported as "INCLUDED IN BANKRUPTY & DISCHARGED" when on my wife’s it is showing current on payment. We are still making payment but mine does not report when hers is reported.
We filed out tax separately where I claimed the mortgage as I am the primary. We are now worry that we might not be able to get the 00 credit since mine does not reported as pay on time.
Our quesiton is should we worry about this or it is fine?
By the way in the bankruptcy 7 I filed there was a stipulation where any tax return shouldnot be kept to pay the creditors.
I have already received my South Carolina tax refund and just waiting for the Federal which was done together with the 00 tax credit.
Also what can I do to report the mortgage current on my credit?

Hi, my good credit was ruined by a divorce and a loss of a job in feb2009. I was making ,000 a year so the judge thought he would give me ALL the marital debt, then i lost my job about a month later. I was at that job for 5 years. I bought my own house and expedition with nothing down, if that tells you a little about how my credit was. Then i lost my job, and had to file bankruptcy just so i would not loose my house, and then of course my ex fought me on the bankrupty and it got dismissed, but of course my credit has already been ruined. I make good money again, but im just trying to play catch up, and i am married again to a wonderful man, and the only thing we fight about is money that is it! For my entire life i was the one to ALWAYS help others and now, at my time of need there is no one. So does anyone know of any place online or whatever that will finance Christmas gifts even when you have pathetic credit if you can indeed prove your income? I could care less if i get anything, but my girls are still young, and i want to do something for my husband so bad, for what all he went through just because he loved me so much. here is our situation

My wife and I make a little more than enough to qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I had a loss in income, and my wife wants to stay at home with our son. Our son is in daycare for 10 hours per day, and we no longer want to live like this. If my wife quits her job to stay at home with the kids, will the court come back on us?

We are also overwhelmed with debt currently.

Isn’t that what bankrupty is, to have a fresh start?

I am considering filing for bankrupty. I am 3 months pregnant and i will not be able to work after the baby is born. i owe about 18K. my fiance and i are getting married. i want to file for bankruptcy before we are married. after we are married would it effect him since i was in this situation before we wed? there is no way he would be able to pay all of my bills for me because he will be paying for rent food utilities and all other expenses for me and the baby. as for me, how long can i start building credit again after bankruptcy in new york city? if the court denies bankruptcy for me what other alternatives do i have. my fiance/ future husband cant afford to pick up all my bills for me. what i am really concerned about is is this going to effect him since this situation occured (will occur before we are married) how long does the process take?
