In my situation would it be better for me to file bankruptcy or try to pay off bills?
Long story short, im a 21 year old male in college with two years left before i have my criminal justice degree and i want to be a detective. im also in the military reserve (mp). my situation is unique only because my have an oustanding balance of 40,000-50,000 dollars because i tore my acl during sports (not for school). i dont have health care because ive taken care of myself since i can remember. i needed the surgery to continue working and army so i did it. ive never been the one to use credit much though and i feel it was just my luck to be in my situation because im very responsible when it comes to credit scores, my future, etc. I honestly think bankruptcy is the best route for me to take because im single and i have no kids and im sure i can get good credit by the time i finish college but i also know police depts are strict about past credit problems and i dont want to hurt my future career. any advice would be great. Should I get a divorce or try to work it out?
I have been married almost 3 years. I have 2 children under 2 yrs old. My husband has a pill problem and is a thief. He has stolen my money so many times I have had to file bankruptcy. I can’t have credit cards, a checking account, or anything. My husband always begs me to come back and I do because I love him. Earlier this year, he stole the last 0 I had and bought pills and wrecked my car. We couldn’t even pay the utilities on our house. (well, I couldn’t pay them, my husband doesn’t have a job.) So he moved in with his dad and I moved in with mine. Recently after we moved in with our dads, I found out I was pregnant. My husband got kicked out of his dads house for stealing and being on pills. He had nowhere to go so I let him stay with me to help me with our newborn daughter. Last week he was on pills again and stole some money from my dad and me so my dad kicked him out. Every time this happens he says he is done with the pills and it won’t happen again. I always take him back and this time I said he cannot stay with my dad and I. We have a house that I am still making payments on but since he doesn’t have a job I can’t pay for the house, utilities, and groceries by myself. Thats why I’m living with my dad so my kids will have water and heat. He is now telling me that he is completely done with pills. His mom is going to put him in therapy and he is going to apply for jobs and possibly go to the army. I do love him and that would be fine but I’m afraid I can’t trust him. My parents are begging me to get a divorce. But even if I do I know I will still see him alot because of the kids and that will be hard for me. When we got married I knew he already had 1 kid which was fine but since we got married he found out he has another and next month he is getting a DNA test for another, which that is really hard for me to deal with. I know he didn’t cheat on me. But if he does get a job, all his money will go to child support for these other kids? He has been put in jail more than once for back child support and is also being questioned for some residential break ins. I am afraid if I leave him I won’t find anyone else and if I did find someone else my husband would make it hell for me. I’m sure it sounds like a no brainer I wish I could turn off my feelings but I really do love this guy too much. I just wanted an outside opinion from someone that doesn’t know us. Thanks in advance
I do not have a drug problem, and when he is on drugs I do keep the kids away from him.
Bankruptcy/ bad current credit and granting of a security clearance?
I am currently being interviewed for a Dept. of Army job but am also going through bankruptcy (in the attorney’s hands waiting to file the case), if offered the job, will I be able to get a security clearance?
I had one granted in 2004 before my credit was bad but left that job in mid-2006 and have since worked in the private sector with no need for a clearance.

i dont really understand how bankruptcy works im 20 yrs old and i am stuck in a bind where i have to. i was in the army for 3 years when i got out of the army i had no where to go so i moved in with a friend i let my car go to the bank but i still owe them so i am going to file for bankruptcy i owe like 22 000 left on the car and i have collections to like 4 places i was one of those teenagers that blew all their money and let it get out of hand, i am currently unemployed but i want to file for a chapter 7 bankruptcy but every where i call its like 1000 dollars and i dont have that kind of money so i kinda need to know what i should do???

how can i fly home for an emergency and not go bankrupt?
i just found out my mother is in critical condition and my not make it very long. i am in the army and live in savannah georgia and i am trying to get to billings montana. i f anyone knows how to get there sheap please let me know! i have tried every website emaginable and cant find anything! hotwire, cheaptickets, orbitz delta, united, southwest airlines, and about ten others please help me!!!
I have bad credit, and need to file bankruptcy.?
It’s really bad, and it’s not from me being irresponsible. But I was diagnosed with a heart condition when I was 20, and didn’t have health insurance. I was hospitalized a lot, and raked up some health bills. And yea, I will admit….after my credit was already tarnished and I knew I would have to file bankruptcy, I started to not care anymore. I have about 30 thousand dollars in bad credit…and I dont know where to start. Is bankruptcy the only option I have? My husband is army and I am a stay at home mom…although I will start working again once he deploys. Anybody have any advice for me…or any numbers I can call?
is it okay to file bankruptcy or press charges on my parents for this?
my credit was stolen about five years ago, i was in hawaii with my husband who was in the army at the time, but my credit says i bought a car in Oh and a house in WV, the thing is my parents stole my credit. i can’t press charges against them, even though my husband wanted nothing more than for me to do that. they also got several credit cards in my name. basically my credit is shot. i refused to press charges on them because they are my parents, but w/o pressing charges i am responsible to pay back the debt, it’s been 5 years and the debt just keeps adding up, we’ve already paid several thousands of dollars to try and restore my credit. i was estranged from my parents for 8 years and we just started building a relationship before all this happened. is it wrong to file bankruptcy to get rid of the debt, my credit is shot, i still owe about 20,000 that i know of, nothing me and my husband own is in my name, but with a new baby and another child in the house and a car payment, we can’t afford to keep paying on stuff we didn’t even get. is it wrong to file bankruptcy in this case? or to press charges against your parents when they do that? they admitted it when they got caught, but never even apologized to me. what do you think? and which bankruptcy should i file? 7 or 13 thank you
my parents already made it clear they won’t pay any of it back. they said we should ignore the bills. we can’t do that. i’m just afraid of how it will look to my children, if i put their grandparents in prison, especially when they are older. and isn’t it mean to put your parents in jail, though they did ruin my credit, and our lives. we have had to cut back on so much stuff because we’re paying off their bills. so bankrubtcy is not an option, will my kids hate me later for putting my parents in jail?
