Should I stop paying bills before filing bankruptcy to save cash?

I am afraid I am going to have to file bankruptcy. If that turns out to be my last option, should I stop paying all my bills, except utilities, so I can save up as much cash as possible before hand? Will the bankruptcy court take the cash if I do? How long could I do this?

Make an appointment with a Bankruptcy Lawyer before you stop paying your bills.
Once the Lawyer takes your case he will send letters to your creditors and then will let you know when it is time to stop sending payments to your creditors.

Don’t do anything without being instructed by your lawyer.

You should discuss this with your lawyer. The court will take the cash and anything else of value
