Republicans, do you remember these things from George Walker Bush's presidency?
I know you are dying for those great Republican leaders to return to office, but hop on my magical carpet ride and let’s revisit the days of President George Walker Bush:
–Fraudulent, needless invasion of Iraq off cooked intelligence
–hijacking of the surplus Clinton left him
–Medicare reformed that fattened the pockets of Big Pharma (and drained our Treasury of billions)
–Silly idea about reforming Social Security (hilarious how the markets collapsed right after his tour)
–complete collapse of the global economy
–car companies going bankrupt
–insurance companies going bankrupt
–banks going bankrupt
–airlines going bankrupt
–torture
–military procedures ruled unconstitutional by Supreme Court
–unfunded occupation in Afghanistan (because he was too busy looking for those fairy tale nukes in Iraq)
–lied to America about the purpose of TARP (his 700 billion dollar bailout program)
Need I say more?
George W’s entire administration was riddled with lies. How was he not impeached? I think he was a crook and a moron. I wish a good president like Obama could have started his administration with the clean slate and healthy economy like George did. But no, george drove our country into the ground and now Obama is still cleaning up the mess. Just about everything obama is criticized for was started by his predecessor and yet the repubs expect him to work miracles. I honestly don’t know how bush got voted in for a 2nd term since his first term was so ineffectual. Then his next four years nearly bankrupted this nation completely. He should have had some adult supervision looooong before. I don’t know how repubs can honestly blame Obama when george w created this mess to start with.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amWhen bush was elected the first time and there was all the controversy about the votes, florida, and their hanging chad issues, I had gone to bed that election night thinking Gore had won because at that time he was ahead in the polls. I woke up the next morning only to find that the idiot has actually win the election. I was dissatisfied then, but i never realized just how much damage he could do. He was one of the worst presidents this country has ever seen. And if repubs want someone to blame, they can look in the mirror- they voted him in twice.
Almost everything you posted is either an outright lie or began to occur long before Bush ever got into office.
If your going to post something, at least educate yourself on the accuracy of what you’re posting. Otherwise you look like a fool.
Take the airline industry for example, they’ve been in financial trouble for decades and Bush had absolutely nothing to do with problems in the Banking industry.
It’s clear from your post you have a very poor education.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amYes I remember. Bush is more popular in Ohio than Obama. Obama is a radical and so is Congress. Vote the out.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amActually – you do need to say more…
What’s your point?
Is it… that George Bush had people who didn’t agree with his agenda, just like OBAMA DOES…
I say: of course he did…
That’s why when people say bad things about OBAMA – you CAN’T CALL IT RACISM… because they did the same thing to the WHITE GUY too.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amYea, and Ohio, who voted for O
says they wish Bush was president and not O.
50% Bush
45% O
Hee he, in 20 months O managed to lose a swing state to Bush and is neck and neck in polls with Palin.
So, O is somewhere between Bush and Palin based on all their respective records.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amLMAO. Why don’t you ask your precious Nancy Pelosi about that "cooked intelligence", since she was saying Saddam had WMDs too?
And by the way? He DID have them, because he USED THEM on the Kurds. Weapons of Mass Destruction does not equal nuclear bombs.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amMy list of Obama’s screw-ups will out do anything you have so please keep your ignorance to a minimum.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amintell was used world wide and all but a hand full of dems voted to invade iraq.when bush came into office it was in a slight recession, check your facts.social security was to only use 15% of your total into it.not all of it.which if put in any bank you would receive more interest than from the government.another liberal lie.car companies went bankrupt due to people being paid 65 a hour to turn screws and outrageous pension packages that the tax payer had to bail out.tarp 1 he had left 350 billion for obama to blow and he did by suring up his union base.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amLIES !!!!!
The banks did NOT go bankrupt.
The car companies did NOT go bankrupt.
The insurance companies did NOT go bankrupt.
The airlines did NOT go bankrupt.
The fairytail Nukes in Iraq? Who told you they were looking for Nukes? That is a LIE! THey were looking for WMD’s the specific type was never disclosed to the public. ANd their presence in Iraq was originally established during the Clinton era.
So you liberals lie and lie and then you expect Americans to trust your opinion of the Mosque at Ground Zero? NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amDon’t forget:
-The Patriot Act
-illegal wiretapping
-more vacations than any President in history (Obama isn’t close to being on pace with Bush).
-ignoring the memo in August 2001 "Bin Laden Determined To Strike Inside US"
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amPlease, Jack, politics is an emotive issue. Let’s not complicate it with facts.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amYes..you do need to say more..something like this.."everything I have posted is an outright lie or moronically distorted.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 aminvasion of iraq//as advised by the clintoon administration
clinton’s suplus was PURE projection
how ’bout big pharma being involved in secret talks[along with unions} during obama’s run-up to obamacare-scam

occupation in afghanistan unfunded?? how about asking thos IN CHARGE of senate at the time.."DEFEATOCRATS"
Tarp WAS approved by the dem senate,,how was ir a kie,,,son,,this post of yours is pure garbage…son
All in all you hit the nail on the head. Good luck though, you will be hard pressed to get any of them to remember or admit to these items. People have a short memory. One thing he is also responsible for is the massive loss of jobs. Oh, I forgot that’s Obama’s fault. Mm mm. Even though he wasn’t even in office when that ball began to roll.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amTARP – Brain child of REPUBLICANS – Bush, Cheney, and Paulson. $700,000,000 GIFT, with NO OVERSIGHT. Given to bailout cronies with NO provision for paying it back to the American TAX PAYERS. Somehow the recipients were able to maintain their humongous bonuses. Ahhhh, the GOOD OLD DAYS! Between the TARP and the WAR IN IRAQ, almost FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT. What’s not to love and remember about the Bush Presidency?
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amWell, that is not just any magic carpet that you have, it is steeped with political rhetoric leaving many facts out. It’s magic depends on people being either forgetful of the real history or entirely brain fried with the rhetoric from the progressives. Iraq intelligence was in place from the Clinton years and ongoing. Even the Democrats (majority of them) in Congress had access to the same information that the administration had and agreed that it had to be done. Many of them lied in their attempt to distance themselves from the decision claiming that they were lied to for political gain. That is the real lie.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amThe Clinton surplus was a result of them cooking the books and never was a reality. Our fiscal problems which you lay at Bush’s door was mostly the result of the Democrat housing scam that crashed and burned into our economy, taking the economy down with it. Now see how simple it is to understand reality without the liberal magic carpet of rewritten history?
No I do not remember these things from the Bush presidency, because some of them never happened
(like that false accusation of "complete collapse of the Global Economy" as if China and India and Singapore have been collapsing. hahahaha).
And since the equalizer brings up the Patriot act, I will mention that liberals want to use the exact same methods in the Patriot Act not for protecting the country but to invade our privacy for their wacko "animal rights" garbage;
Liberals think that killing a not yet "born" Human, is just fine while killing an animal is to them ’severe abuse" .
Not only that they are the same kinds of liberals who believe all this antisemitic garbage about
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 am"the Zionists controlling the world".
I once saw a blog about a story about some guy accused of animal abuse and he happened to have a Jewish SOUNDING last name.
Just because of his last name, the liberals were posting things like "This is how JEWS are", and all kinds of antisemitism .
They spent even MORE time posting the guys home address and phone number and saying "smash his parents heads against the wall till their brains splatter all over the place".
Not just HIM but EVERYONE in his family they were DEMANDING this, sounding like fanatical rioting Nazis on Crystal Nacht.
When it comes to their fake concern for animals ((because big liberals like Barbara Streisand (they support her because she is also a Nazilib and a self hating Jew, who very prominently promotes the Nazilib agenda) wear fur and they say absolutely NOTHING against HER or other rich liberals like her.) they suddenly care nothing about Due Process or Constitutional rights or innocent till proven guilty.
They want the whole FAMILY and all the friends of the accused dead and they say on these blogs that they specifically want no trials.
Liberals are nothing but bloodthirsty violence loving warmongers.
This just proves once again that liberalism = Nazism as well as hypocrisy.
Everyone who works for these "animal rights" or "animal rescue" organizations either feels this way or has friends that do and they think it’s just fine making them an accessory to the terrorist fanaticism of the violent liberals.
Some who otherwise would be conservatives are also supporters of those who are such evil fanatics.
For example both Sean Hannity and Mark Levin have disgustingly called killing a dog "murder"
and any sane person knows murder is applied ONLY to killing a human being, NOT an animal.
Hannity recently had on his show one of these animal wackos and Hannity called this fanaticism "rescue".
And Mark Levine on his show, one day for one, of many examples; was ranting about something that I only caught the last part of but apparently there was some story about some kind of supposed "abuse" which seemed to be about a horse.
Now most stories about so called "abuse" of horses are really nothing more then the horse being ridden a bit hard, or being kicked a few times to get them to go or being ridden by someone who is "overweight" ( as if a horse has to worry about someone that is fraction of the horses weight which even the heaviest people on the smallest animal that is still called a horse, are only a fraction of the horses weight) not about starving them to death, or anything like that.
And Levine was ranting on and on about "abuse" (which according to the Constitution is no more of the governments business then anything else someone does on their private property (other then crimes against people)).
Then he was praising these fanatics work in "shelters" (they are not fanatics for working there but for the fanatical hatred they have for humans and for the practical WORSHIP of animals, above humans (and if you do not feel that way you will not last long working among those who DO and who like any other religious fanatics, DEMAND you agree with them) calling them "heroes" and other disgustingly praiseworthy, titles.
Levin hypocritically talks about "taking the country back" while at the same time supporting these totally unconstitutional "animal rights", laws.
In anticipation of the upcoming November elections, when Democrats fear being voted out and those who are running are distancing themselves from Obama, whose approval numbers are dropping like stone, the Democrats are trying to figure out what platform to run on.
They can’t run on the accomplishments of the Obama administration and the Democrat Congress – there really haven’t been any.
They can’t run on Healthcare reform, which now a full 53% of Americans are against and only 32% favor.
They can’t run on successes in the economy – we are in the worst economy since the Great Depression.
They can’t run on jobs creation – Obama promised that with his reforms the jobless rate wouldn’t go over 8%, and now it is hovering around 10%, with most economists saying that the real numbers (including those who have given up looking and excluding the temporary government jobs like the census) are closer to 17%
They can’t run on their record of Environmentalism – the worst oil spill in history occurred under Obama’s watch, and exposed and highlighted the very corporate corruption Obama vowed to eliminate. Worse, Obama dragged his feet during the cleanup effort and, by declining International Aid and by allowing the EPA regulations to stall domestic efforts, allowed the effect of the spill to become far worse than it had to be. He ruined the economy of the gulf by placing a moratorium on offshore drilling – just long enough for the big companies to move to Brazil and the West Coast of Africa – placing additional thousands on the unemployment rolls.
They can’t run on Financial Reforms – their laws and the bills they hope to sign into law have caused American Businesses (not just the big ones – but even especially the small ones) to hold off on any expansion plans, to hold off on hiring, to downsize instead of expanding – all because they are afraid of what new regulations the Government will place on them next. American Businesses as a whole are sitting on almost $2 TRILLION in capital that they refuse to spend because they are afraid.
They can’t run on the reduction of the deficit – Obama’s spending makes the Bush administration look like a trip to the store.
They can’t run on Immigration Reform – Arizona has become a "Tar Baby" for the Democrats – their refusal to enforce existing immigration law has mushroomed out of control – their lawsuit against Arizona has resulted in 22 additional states adopting similar immigration laws.
About the only "success" this administration has had has been the removal of troops from Iraq – a move made possible by a plan hatched by John McCain, supported by George W. Bush, executed by David Petraus, and vehemently opposed by Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
So with nothing to run on, all that’s left is to Blame Bush. You have very successfully illustrated that. Most of your points are opinion – there’s a lot of that going around. Most of your opinion is a convenient twisting of the facts, and anyone who reads a newspaper beyond the headlines and gathers information from more than a single source understands that.
The problem is, that if all this stuff is Bush’s fault the fact still remains that Obama is not man enough to do anything about it.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amEven Bill Clinton said that Iraq had WM D’s. Medicare reform I thought was a liberals dream. The collapse of the economy started after the Dem’s took over Congress. Bush tried to reform the Banking industry but the Dem’s wouldn’t let him do it. The car companies went bankrupt because of "Government Regulations", forcing them to make cars that would not sell. Airlines have been having trouble for decades. Less than 7 people were water-boarded and everyone of our soldiers go through that procedure to teach them how to handle it. TARP has been paid back from the banks with interest, Obama is trying to take credit for that also. I didn’t agree with all that Bush did, but he was a lot better than what we have now. Look at a poll that a left wing pollster took and was released after Obama’s Speech, 50% of the people from Ohio that were asked say that they would rather have Bush back in the White House. At least what Bush did worked and we have something to show for the money spent, most of the TARP money has been paid back plus interest. So what is your point? Nothing that Obama has done has worked, the only things that are working are the policies Bush left for him to take over. Remember how Obama said,"Unless we do this Stimulus Package unemployment will go over 8%", we did the Stimulus Package and we have unemployment at 9.7%. The Bush Recession had an average unemployment rate of 5%, the Obama Recovery has unemployment at 9.7% and according to the Obama Adm. we can expect to have unemployment around 10% for the coming decade. At least what Bush did worked.
September 3rd, 2010 at 5:56 amYou have nothing even close to the actual reality listed here. For instance, the "cooked" intelligence was actually intelligence gathered by the previous administration who also is on record making the same claims and allegations about WMD that Bush did. The surplus was not "hijacked" it was spent after the 9/11 attack on Homeland Security and the War effort. That "Silly Idea" of reforming Social Security would have saved the unsustainable system but the Democrats refused to cooperate. The collapse of the Global Economy had nothing to do with anything Bush did, but with the actions of the leaders of those countries in trouble. Car Companies were victims of Labor Contracts that made them unsustainable, Insurance Companies and Banks failed because of Fannie and Freddie fraud which were controlled by Democrats Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, not Bush. What military procedures were ruled unconstitutional? There is no such thing as an unfunded Military action. All Military spending is done specifically through Congressional Bills for that purpose, perhaps you recall all the contention over adding extraneous things to Military Spending Bills?
Tarp was not 700 Billion. It was 400 Billion and it was voted for in a bi-partisan vote which included a "Yes" vote from then Senator Barack Obama.
Yes, you need to learn and then say a lot more than just baseless allegations and false Democrat talking points. Much more.
