Is there a way to get federal tax returns or transcripts from the IRS online?

Practitioners can, you can’t. If you have a fax machine, you can call IRS and request the transcripts be sent through the transcript delivery system. If you don’t have a fax you can go to efax.com and sign up for free basic service and receive 20 pages per month.
February 7th, 2010 at 9:25 pmIRS doesn’t provide any tax information on line. You must either download Form 4506-T Return Transcript (FREE) from the IRS website http://www.irs.gov or visit the local IRS office in your city to obtain the transcripts.
February 7th, 2010 at 9:25 pmIf you need the actual tax return then use Form 4506 and pay $57 for each year. But the transcripts should work for you because Bankruptcy just needs proof of filing income tax returns.
