If i file bankruptcy and afterwards an item appears on my credit from before will it get removed? I want to file bankruptcy but i have a few things that still have not gone on my credit yet and i do not want to wait for them to go on, to get on with my life. So if i file now and they go on my credit afterwards will they get removed, and if so what is the time frame after i file on which it can still be counted?

Any item you list in bankruptcy will be listed on your credit report as "Included in Bankruptcy" and have a 0 balance. They will not disapear just because of the bankruptcy.

Now they will eventually fall off. Negative items will remain on your report for 7 years from the date of the negative item. So if these are accounts that are unpaid, they will remain on there from 7 years from the date of the first delinquency.

You can’t discharge items you haven’t had for under 6 months. It’s considered fraud and any judge will make you pay for those!

any item NOT included in your bankruptcy will be your responsibility to pay regardless of the bankruptcy. No they will not be removed if not included in the filing. Having said that, ALL items WILL remain on your credit report for up to 7 years after the court decides on the disposition of the bankruptcy.
