How long can you wait between retaining a bankruptcy attorney and filing the claim?

    The question makes no sense. You (or your attorney acting for you) files a petition. Creditors file claims.

    the lawyer will file the claim for you, if he deems it wise to wait, that is what you are paying him for
    I have a client who has provided her lawyer with all the necessary information but until she pays him his fee, he is holding up filing the b/k/ claim
