how can i get myself out of debt.?
im about 5,000-6,000 in debt…i can never make my monthly payments because i have 2 kids to take care of…every paycheck goes to paying the bills,food,gas,and my credit card payments…any advice about what should i do?….does credit counseling really work?…should i try to get a loan even though my credit is REALLY bad now…or should i file for bankruptcy????…help please!!!….hate being broke for the mistakes i made when i was younger…

believe it or not credit counseling isn`t free.. they will charge you.. i have been there.. i also found a company that will help you lower your debt, but, they want you to do all the work.. and they charge you for doing nothing..and getting a loan is hard if your credit is bad..and if you do get one they will charge you up the butt for interest rates.. once in debt it is so hard to get out.. because once you get a loan and pay everything off.. in comes more to make matters worse.. doctor bills, up keep on your vehicle, dentists bills, utility bills. and so on.. so i don`t know what to say.. but good luck to you..

since u don’t say age of kids , married it is hard to give u directions.
credit CON counseling isn’t all that if u want to get ahead.
. Pay off your highest rate cards/debts first. STOP USING CREDIT CARDS and pare them down. Revolving credit is a kiler to your budget.
2. Contact your debtors and see if you can negotiate a lower rate of interest in return for discontinuing use of the card.
3. Some agencies offer debt counseling at no charge. Check with your local social services agencies and other non-profits in the area to see if they can help or provide referrals.
